Who’s Speaking

My name is Tim Schneider and I am a second year law student at NYU Law.

At some point this should be a manifesto, but in the meantime, a bit of an explanation. This is not going to be all that interesting a read for most people, and I know that. I think more people should care about telecommunications and access, but I don’t get all upset about if people want to direct their attention to say, foreign policy or health care or celebrities.  I started writing this as a place to remember and think out research I’m doing this semester on the concept and practice of universal service, so most of the stuff you’ll see here will be around that general theme. Write what you know.

If you’re reading this, you’re probably my friend and I probably told you about it in a sheepish, hey here’s this thing I’m doing sort of way. Please please comment, even if it’s on something you’ve never heard of before. I want to think laterally, draw parallels from other disciplines–one of the best papers I’ve read on Universal Service so far contained an extended discussion on the school lunch program. It’ll work best with more eyes, that’s the lesson of the Internet, eh?

I can be reached via email at timschneider at mailworks.org

Tim, this is really cool. . . even for a non-techie like me:)

My one piece of advice–ppl like me probably aren’t your target audience, but if they are . . . you could make some of the content more accessible for the non-tech savy like myself (who are making genuine attempts to become tech savy, for example by reading your blog.)

Congratulations on doing something meaningful w/ your law school education:)!

I’m going to send this some of my law school buds who I think will appreciate it.

Thanks Danae, for your kind words and for stopping by. I see Morgan has been sending this link on . . .hmm. I’ll see what I can do to make things more accessible.
